That’s right – I have a new product for sale at Cornucopia3D – a very large alpine scene perfect for creating dramatic mountain backdrops.

A big (25km x 25km) alpine scene is what I’ve been working on during January. Built using Vue 11 it is very close to completion – just need to find CPU time to render the promos… some renders have already made to my gallery though.

It has certainly been a longer than anticipated break from producing new works but the hiatus is now over. With Country Lane 2 and Valle Alpina in the Daz3D store, a freshened up website and quality time devoted to the craft, expect big things from HowieFarkes in 2013.

My second scene at Cornucopia3D has hit the store – called Secluded Pond it is of course based upon Secret Lake from my Carrara collection. See it in store here!

A bit late getting this post up but I now have a product for sale at Cornucopia3D – purveyors of all things Vue related. As mentioned previously in a preview post it’s a version on Forest Drive created for Vue 7 Esprit and above. I’m kinda proud of it for a first effort at Vue – expect more from me at Cornucopia3D in the future.

Danas and his team have been busily collecting the best of work by Carrara artists and some tutorials and interviews with notable identities from the community. The result is Carrara 3D Expo issue 3- check it out online here.

Hopefully, and after a very long wait, this will be my first product for Vue. It is based upon Forest Drive for Carrara but really there’s not much in common between the two. New plants, new textures, new program…

Here’s a preview pic, for good or bad I tried to give this scene a “HowieFarkes” look’n'feel to it despite using a completely different vegetation and render engine.

For owners of Forest Drive I have now created some new texture maps for the sign post. If just warning drivers of deer is too limiting then check these out.

Available now from the downloads page of this very website. The zip contains 6 sign textures (it includes the original deer sign too) in jpeg format. Therefore you’ll need to edit the sign post shader in Carrara to use these – not hard though, just find the color channel of the sign and link to the new texture.

** Update ** Just a little word to say that these free textures are completely compatible with the Vue version – Forestview Drive – now on sale at Cornucopia3D.
